last time the PSU gave way, bought a very nice (somewhat expensive, thinking something else would break and I might have to build another system) one, been working a few months, now she (the whole system, hopefully not the PSU again, else I would think something is causing that to happen, and I have a UPS, so it's not the power) is dead again.
different symptoms however.
all fans and lights and drives power on, however the bios is supposed to beep after the POST, does not happen and the screen does not even get powered on...
luckily had some backup software (sbackup) scheduled to back pretty much everything to my external hard drive (lets hope that does not fail). main thing I am worried about is my ~80GB of music which I have collected since... forever. god I hope that backup is alright
oh and IIT student Ben Collen is dead
